What is Myanmar's traditional card game Shan Koe Mee
Shan Koe Mee is a traditional card game passed down through generations in Myanmar. Originating from the Shan hill regions, it is played with cards and involves competing to build the highest-value hand.
Players place the amount they want to wager, then make decisions about their cards to try to win — so it takes both strategic thinking and a bit of luck. At bago888, you can play this game anywhere, anytime from your phone or computer, with 24-hour support available around the clock.
Most players enjoy Shan Koe Mee at parties, during the cool season, and at festivals. Now that it is available on trusted platforms like bago888 at any time, the game has grown even more popular.
Shan Koe Mee How to Play Step by Step
Players Join and Place Their Bets
2 to 6 players can join a game. Before the game starts, each player must set the amount they want to wager — this is the "stake" for that round.
Dealing and Viewing Cards
Each player is dealt 3 cards. Players can only see their own cards and cannot view anyone else's — this is where the strategic play begins.
Decision — Stay In or Fold
After looking at their cards, each player decides whether to stay in ("call") or drop out ("fold") based on their hand. Players who stay in can increase the bet ("raise").
Showdown and Determining the Winner
Once all players have made their decisions, everyone reveals their cards at the same time. The player with the highest-ranking hand wins all the money in the pot.
Card rank — high to low
Card values are ranked from highest to lowest as: A (Ace) > K > Q > J > 10 > … > 2. Combinations such as Pair and Three of a Kind — as long as they do not share the same suit — tend to carry higher scoring value.
